(Freedom), announces the addition of Weld Mold Company to its expanding list of customers using Freedom's RICAR (Record Image Capture and Retrieval) software. Weld Mold, located in Brighton, MI, is a leading manufacturer of high alloy welding electrodes, flux-cored wires and solid wires for maintenance and repair, tool and die, stainless steels, forging and hardfacing applications. Documents imaged at Weld Mold will add to the annual volume of over 100 million documents imaged by Freedom clients utilizing the RICAR system.

As Weld Mold transitions to electronic document management, RICAR will provide a fast and easy centralized document control system that yields a rapid return on the company's investment. This cost efficient system eliminates the sorting, resorting, and tracking of manual document handling while allowing any and all employees to retrieve imaged records right from their desktop computer. Weld Mold Company will be using RICAR to implement paperless document workflow procedures into daily business processes such as operations, billing, and financial recordkeeping.

Each department, from accounting to shipping/receiving has started to scan their own files. Various document repositories were put in place to separate electronic images to their respective departments. For example, if accounting needs payables, they open up the document viewer, choose the Accounts Payable repository, and search by check number, check date, invoice number or vendor name.  All the documents are right there. RICAR handles every document type. Freight bills, customer agreements, purchase orders, accounts payable and accounts receivable are just a few of the documents being scanned at Weld Mold.
