October, 2008 Ann Arbor, MI: Freedom Imaging Systems (Freedom), a leading data management and solutions provider, is pleased to announce MED3000 Group Inc. (MED3000) has selected Freedom’s document management solution for 10 of its billing locations.
MED3000, a national healthcare management and technology company, began the evaluation process in July of 2008 with its first installation of Freedom’s RICAR (Record Image Capture And Retrieval) software suite at its PSA Florence, SC location. The evaluation concluded in October of 2008 when MED3000 contracted with Freedom an additional nine (9) sites within the US.
Freedom’s RICAR suite is comprehensive software and support solution comprised of such products as:
- FreeScan software for capturing documents via scanner.
- FreeImport software for importing any non-scanned file types into the management system such as Word/PDF documents, Faxes, WMV and MP3 files.
- FreeView software allowing for less than three (3) second retrieval and redacting of documents from Virtual File Cabinets at any desktop.
- FreeWorkflow (FreeWF) software for automating paperless document processing, indexing and routing.
- FreeReport software for reporting productivity, document access and statistical activity.
- FreeOCR software for automatically indexing the words on every document so a full-text search can be performed based on different keywords.
While all 10 sites will have a local version of the RICAR suite, each site can grant access and paperlessly route documents to other sites when processing from more than one location is required. This Freedom RICAR MED3000 solution will eliminate the need to physically copy and ship these documents across the country from one location to another thereby increasing productivity while saving paper and shipping charges.
Working with MED3000’s IT and document processing staff, Freedom’s RICAR suite and training can be implemented over a three (3) day period with MED3000 “Going Live” with production documents on the third day.
Freedom and MED3000 have agreed to an aggressive installation timeline beginning in mid-November of 2008 with six (6) installations scheduled before the end of 2008.
