June 6th, 2011 – ANN ARBOR, MI: Freedom Imaging Systems sponsors the annual Mott Golf Classic to benefit The University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
On Monday June 6th, 2011, members of the Freedom team teed off at Barton Hills Country Club in Ann Arbor at the 38th Annual Mott Golf Classic. Along with 300 other participants, Freedom helped raise over $700,000 for The University of Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. The hospital is ranked among the nation’s best pediatric hospitals by the U.S. News Media Group.
Freedom Imaging Systems has provided The University of Michigan with document and process management for the past six years. Specifically working in the University’s Pathology Department, Freedom’s RICAR software suite eliminates paper handling of documents. Laboratory requisitions are scanned as they are recieved using RICAR’s scanning software - FreeScan. Laboratory employees have immediate access to these images on their PCs using RICAR’s viewing software - FreeView. The Pathology Department is comprised of numerous laboratories including Cytogenics, Chemical Pathology, Flow Cytometry, Immunology, Drug Analysis and Toxicology, Microbiology and Virology and Phlebotomy Services. Patient requisitions are available for viewing across all departments. Images are also stored on DVDs using RICAR’S archival software - FreeDVD -for permanent document storage. Despite a promising day on the course golfing for a good cause, Freedom Imaging Staff agrees their specialty will remain document and content management solutions.
About the Mott Golf Classic
The Mott Golf Classic launched in 1973 as a small golf outing organized by Washtenaw County Life Underwriters to benefit The University of Michigan C.S Mott Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s leading pediatric health care institutions. National and international businesses and organizations now sponsor the Classic with over 300 participants playing golf every year on two of Ann Arbor’s three championship courses. The 2010 Classic has raised over $600,000. The Mott Golf Classic has become one of Michigan’s most successful charitable golf outings. The funds raised by the Mott Golf Classic have enabled the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital to provide an exceptional community of care and resources for patients, families, and caregivers.
