Freedom’s RICAR (RecordImage CaptureAnd Retrieval) suite is a comprehensive software and support solution. The components implemented at Lower Columbia Pathologists are:
- FreeScan software for capturing documents via scanner.
- FreeImport software for importing any non-scanned file types into the management system such as Word/PDF documents, Faxes, Jpegs, WMV and MP3 files.
- FreeView software allowing for less than three (3) second retrieval and redacting of documents from Virtual File Cabinets at any desktop.
- FreeReport software for reporting productivity, document access and statistical activity.
Freedom’s RICAR software suite will capture, index and streamline Lower Columbia’s lab requisitions and EOB’s for fast retrieval, billing and archiving. Lower Columbia had first heard of Freedom’s RICAR document management solution while attending a pathologist’s conference and talking with another lab using Freedom’s RICAR solution. After viewing a demonstration, Lower Columbia quickly decided to purchase and implement RICAR.
