FreeScanNet - for its popular electronic content management software,
RICAR (Record Image Capture And Retrieval).
FreeScanNet allows Freedom's customers the option of scanning directly to their billing centers from their clients location
without setting up cumbersome and often finicky VPN connections. Using secure FTP connections, clients can scan at their
locations and transfer the scanned images to their billing centers across town or across the country in a matter of minutes.
The billing centers using Freedom's RICAR Workflow module FreeWf, can begin processing the documents within minutes of the
image transfer.
The benefits of FreeScanNet far outweigh the modest cost of the module. Not only does it eliminate shipping costs and
potential document loss, it has the attractive added benefit (and the ultimate goal of all billing centers) of improving
revenue cycle management and decreasing days sales outstanding.
FreeScanNet is the newest of Freedom's methods for capturing data for billing and processing. Other methods include:
- Simple drag and drop. Clients can drag and drop documents in any format (pdf, tiff, word, excel.) to an import
folder shortcut on their workstation.
- Direct HL7 Input. Working with the customer, Freedom can tailor its HL7 importer to the exact requirements of the
HL7 file, automate indexing and merge the data with associated Requisitions.
- Direct ERA/835 processing. Again, working with the customer, Freedom can tailor its FreeX12 processor for direct
input of 835 files to parse them into patient centric fully indexed images complete with glossary of denial and
reason codes. FreeX12 also produces a fully searchable 835 batch image.
- Direct Demographic files. Customers can send demographic files from LIS and other systems directly to Freedom's
RICAR software for automatic indexing, routing and processing.
