Freedom’s RICAR (Record Image Capture And Retrieval) suite is comprehensive software for document/content management and workflow solutions with a focus on healthcare revenue cycle management. The RICAR software modules implemented at Pathology Consultants are:
- FreeScan software for capturing documents via scanner.
- FreeImport software for importing any non-scanned file types into the management system such as Word, Excel, PDF documents, Faxes, JPEGS, WMV and MP3 files.
- FreeView software allowing for less than three (3) second retrieval and redacting of documents from Virtual File Cabinets at any desktop.
- FreeReport software for reporting productivity, document access and statistical activity.
- FreeWF workflow software for electronically routing requisitions documents for billing data entry and revenue cycle management.
Freedom’s RICAR software suite will capture, index and streamline Pathology Consultants’ daily documents including laboratory requisitions, Explanation Of Benefits (EOBs) and administrative documents. Pathology Consultants captures the requisitions immediately after accessioning (or specimen processing) with FreeScan. Any user with security clearance is able to retrieve and review requisitions to assist with test preparation and completion. Documents are also automatically placed in a Billing Data Entry workflow queues for immediate claims creation. Freedom’s FreeWf software improves revenue cycle management and provides reduction in Days Sales Outstanding.
Pathology Consultants were referred to Freedom from one of Freedom’s other customers utilizing the RICAR suite of products for Revenue Cycle Management. After viewing a demonstration, Pathology Consultants quickly decided to purchase and implement RICAR.
