| YPSILANTI, MI - August 2006 – The North Texas location of AmeriPath, a leading national provider of cancer diagnostics, genomics, and related information services, is the next laboratory to get on board with Freedom Imaging Systems’ powerful document management solution. Located in Dallas, AmeriPath North Texas becomes the fourth AmeriPath lab to install the RICAR (Record Image Capture And Retrieval) system developed by Freedom — one of the nation’s leading data management and solutions developers.
As part of an eventual enterprise-wide rollout, Freedom’s innovative RICAR solution will help AmeriPath North Texas gain control of its paper-based processes and adopt a virtually paperless work environment via an electronic record system. The installation of RICAR at the North Texas Billing Department allows for a streamlined billing process, resulting in heightened productivity, faster turnaround time and the avoidance of costly billing errors. With just a few clicks from their PC desktop, employees can access critical business information and instantly retrieve data using a number of “look-up” criteria. Soon, in addition to EOBs and other billing documents, lab requisitions at the Dallas location will also become digitalized with RICAR.
